Not-So-Wordless Wednesday
Then tonight I see that the lovely LeeAnn of The Life of Rylie...and Bryce too posted a wordy wordless Wednesday and I knew my photo was meant to be posted along with a little story. My post is quite a bit more, well, wordy....
This is my sweet Winnie the Pooh ornament from 1993. My Pop Pop and I went to a sale after the holidays in Secaucus. It was at Marra Drug Store. I think it was a sidewalk sale if I remember correctly. Anyway I found this ornament and fell in love with it. By 1994 my obsession with all things Pooh was well developed. My Pop Pop bought it for me.
When we got back to his house my Grandma and Mom were there and I showed them my find. Iwas excited to hear what Pooh said being it was a talking ornament but it was well after Christmas and there were no strings of lights to plug him into.
Wouldn't you know my Pop Pop when into the garage where the Christmas stuff was stored and moved who knows how many boxes and dug around until he found a string of lights. When he brought the lights into the house and we plugged the Pooh ornament in I am sure it was worth every moment of rummaging around in the garage to find those lights when he saw my face. In fact I am willing to bet he saw a sparkle in my eye he hadn't seen since I was a little girl.
Every year since then Winnie the Pooh makes his appearance on the tree. This year he has become even more special to me. Nina loves the ornament. She asks for the tree to be put on so she can "push button" and hear Pooh talk. I see her face light up as she listens to Pooh.
It brings me back to that day. The sparkle in my eye and the smile on my Pop Pop's face.
Joy.
Thank you Pop Pop.

I'll be happy if this gets done. It is 7:12pm on Saturday. I need to get crackin' if I want it done by the end of the weekend!

Saturday Night Fail
As I sit at the computer playing Pogo I can't help but think of the many other things I need to do.
I could be finishing my Christmas shopping online, wrapping presents, baking, making new jewelry to put on Etsy and Artfire or hooking up the Silhoutte again and try to create a banner for the Bub's 2nd birthday. (Mind you her birthday isn't until February but I know myself.)
Am I doing any of those things? Nope. I'm playing Hog Heaven. And what may be worst..ahem pathetic I should say..I am trying to reach rank 50. For the second time. Yea. I should be ashamed. And I am. A little. But not enough to not just spin and pop 3 piggies.
I have 2 necklaces in mind and rather than working on them I simply took out the two beads I realized may work together, saw that they would and promptly put them away.
The Silouhette sits next to the table in it's box. NOT hooked up and cutting lovely thick and colorful cardstock.
I did however get the dished done and the laundry folded and put away (cept for the Bub's cause she is sleeping) and I washed the floors.
I could layout the necklace as soon as I hit publish post. But I'm just 1769 piggies away from ranking out. I'll give you one guess as to which one is going to win my attention tonight.
